Colour Swap Information.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
-----------------
Introduction...
-----------------
Colour Swap is utility that Swaps the Colours of your picture for the doubled
colours in your palette. The doubled colours are automatically created for
you.
When you load a picture with 2,4,8 or 16 colours in it, this program auto-
matically doubles the number of colours in your palette. This then allows you
to swap your first 16 colours for example with the 16 doubled colours
(colours 17 to 31) in your palette. This is useful for creating a second set
of picture fonts for example that are Anti-Aliased. This is the main reason
I wrote this utility - I don't like the way you can only change the colours
of Anti-Aliased Fonts, but you can't duplicate them unless you want to use
the same palette numbers as them. Anyway, hopefully this program sorts out
some of these problems.
By the way, if you load the maximum numbered picture allowed in this program,
32, the doubled colours will automatically be your Extra Half Brite colours
of course which you cannot change.
--------------------
Getting Started...
--------------------
Simply Load your picture, click the Palette (Pal) icon to change your palette
if need be, set the Width and Height of the picture area you want swapping
and then click the Ok icon. Its as simple as that!
----------
Icons...
----------
Width: Set the width of your picture area to be swapped.
Height: Set the Height of your picture area to be swapped.
Load: Load a Picture. Once you've loaded your first picture you can
load another picture anytime.
Save: Save a picture, anytime, wether its been colour swapped or not.
Transparent: Yes means the background colour (colour Zero) will be
'See-Through' and No means the background colour will be Solid.
Solid backgrounds will use the first doubled colour. I.e an 8
coloured picture (doubled to 16 colours) will use colour 8 as
the Solid background.
Note: Your loaded picture has to have a transparent background
already in order to use this function. Also, Once you've
used this function there's no changing the background to
transparent again until you load or refresh (see below)
a picture.
Pal: This allows you to edit your Palette.
Ok: When everything is set click this icon to perform the actual
Colour Swap.
-------------
The Keys...
-------------
The keys for the icons are the first letter of each word, in lower case.
I.e. l for Load, o for Ok, etc. You can use mouse key 1 for the icons aswell.
q will Quit the program (there's no Quit icon).
Clicking on the Filename box, once you've loaded a picture, will refresh the
screen with the currently loaded picture. This function is there in case you
make a mistake.
I've Put an Example screen in the Pictures drawer for you. The Filename is:
